This sound installation is spread over 4 stations, each consisting of a laptop/subwoofer/steel plate/microphone system. Every laptop transmits the digital information of a frequency to an amplifier which, in turn, sends it in analog form to the subwoofers on each of which a metal plate is placed that amplifies and makes the vibrations perceptible. The latter, captured by microphones, are sent back to the computers that display the waveforms on the monitors. The conceptual element of the installation consists in the representation of a process of passage and transformation of sound from the digital dimension to the analog dimension and then back to the digital one, using the space in which it is immersed as a “sounding board”.
