Interpret the present, predict the future. A reflection on the idea of uncertainty, and on the ways in which science deals with it
Uncertainty is an exhibition that addresses uncertainty and case management in exact sciences. In this context, five interactive installations have been created that deal with frontier themes: from the simulation of earthquakes, to predictive models of epidemics, through climate change to recommendation algorithms and artificial intelligence to predict visitor behavior. We have worked with the data collected, or created through sophisticated simulations, by important research centers such as the Gran Sasso Science Institute, the Parisian INSERM and Sony CSL Music, as well as the physics department of the University of Turin. Together with researchers and curators, we tried to transform these complex materials into compelling data telling.
